ABOUT
Mia Tešić (born 2001) is a speculative designer and interdisciplinary artist based in Vienna. Her practice explores contemporary topics through material experimentation, hands-on processes, and tangible experiences. Central to her work is the creation of dialogue, inviting new perspectives through objects and narratives that engage both mind and body.

Mia’s approach blends craft, performance, and storytelling, often incorporating participatory elements that encourage shared experiences and active observation. Whether through collaborative making or immersive installations, her work speculates on future possibilities while remaining grounded in the physicality of materials and the act of creation.

Eat Your Consequences immerses participants in a culinary journey through a speculative future. With a nine-course tasting menu along the Danube, the experience prompts reflection on the environmental impacts of human intervention in nature. An accompanying audio narrative delves into research findings on the effects of power plants, river regulation, and invasive species.
.
The project aims to heighten awareness of environmental changes by envisioning a potential future and cultivating empathy for nature. Eat Your Consequences captivates on multiple levels: Participants engage their senses by walking the path, sampling foods adapted to extreme weather and scarcity, and immersing themselves in audio narratives.
.
Set in Kritzendorf, a region historically affected by floods, the project’s location underscores its message about human impact on nature, particularly resonant in the aftermath of flood events at the time the event took place (spring 2024).
