ABOUT
Mia Tešić (born 2001) is a speculative designer and interdisciplinary artist based in Vienna. Her practice explores contemporary topics through material experimentation, hands-on processes, and tangible experiences. Central to her work is the creation of dialogue, inviting new perspectives through objects and narratives that engage both mind and body.

Mia’s approach blends craft, performance, and storytelling, often incorporating participatory elements that encourage shared experiences and active observation. Whether through collaborative making or immersive installations, her work speculates on future possibilities while remaining grounded in the physicality of materials and the act of creation.

This project was created by nine students from Vienna’s University of Applied Arts as part of the course Designrevolution Now! led by Harald Gründl.Together with Gabriel Roland, director of Vienna Design Week, our group developed a critical concept on design tools and presented festival visitors with fresh approaches to thinking about design in today’s world. The aim was to spark new ideas, encourage discussion, and foster a space for critical reflection. The entire exhibition, along with all displayed objects, was constructed exclusively from repurposed cardboard. Over the course of a week, we hosted workshops, guided tours, and expert talks. Following a successful launch and a week full of dialogue, exchange, and participation, the project ended with a finissage and destruction workshop, inviting everyone to take part in one last event.
